A book to teach blind Muslims in Kazakhstan
Alhamdulillah Persatuan Braille Malaysia has helped a brother from Kazakhstan to produce a book to teach blind Muslims in Kazakhstan to read the Braille Quran.
The brother Askar Shakirov is 25 and is a graduate in Islamic Studies from the Islamic university in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
After he graduated he was working in a masjid when a blind man came in and wanted to learn the Quran. Askar could only ask him to repeat what he read as the man could not read the Quran.
When he came to Malaysia to attend an arabic course at university he heard about our organisation and came to us to learn Braille from Ustaz Sumairi and has now compiled a basic primer with Sumairi to start the first classes in Kazakhstan in teaching Arabic braille to the blind inshaa Allah this summer.
