IBQS is the umbrella body which brings organizations providing Braille Quran services in different regions of the world together.
IBQS is resolved to be established by the First International Braille Quran Conference held in Istanbul/Turkey on February 4 - 8 2013. It is formed by organizations and individuals providing Braille Quran services in 13 countries around the world. Through this website, you can access to detailed information about the structure and activities of IBQS as well as resources for Braille Quran training.

Assalamu aleikum everyone,
Probably most of you will remember, IBQS is in cooperation with Al-basir School for the Blind in Mogadishu for nearly 1 year to support them. Last year, IBQS has invited school director Abikar Hussain to Istanbul for discussing further cooperation possibilities to promote Braille Quran training in their region. IBQS has donated 17 sets of Braille Mushafs to send to the school. We have been contacting Turkish Airlines to ship the books to Mogadishu for some time. Alhamdulillah we have received an approval to our application to send the books at free of charge by Turkish Airlines. InshaAllah the boxes will be dispatched on next Monday.
Alhamdulillah this year three of our members are performing the haj - Hussain Hassan Hashi a Somalian who is in charge of the master Braille Quran at Madrassa an Noor in South Africa , Maulana Islah Busakorn from Thailand who is blind and Norma Hashim from AlFitrah foundation Malaysia.
May Allah ta'ala accept the haj of every person and grant Jannah to all hujjaj who passed away.

The closing ceremony of the Quran memorization camp for blind children in Gaza , combined with announcement of results for the first ever Quran memorization contest for the blind, where they memorised Surah Al-Baqarah.

The panel of speakers comprising Dr Abdulrahman Ozdemir, Dr Ahmet Murat Ozel, Dr Ilyas Akyuzoglu and Dr Ebu Bekir Sifil, speaking about the concept of disability in the light of the Holy Quran.They gave many examples of blind and disabled people who were successful and treated with respect in the time of the Prophet pbuh and the Khalifahs.
