Shafeqa is a blind palestinian American who is studying at NYU ( New York University) , and she is speaking here about her activism and what its like to be a blind student activist.

Alhamdulillah Persatuan Braille Malaysia has helped a brother from Kazakhstan to produce a book to teach blind Muslims in Kazakhstan to read the Braille Quran.

The brother Askar Shakirov is 25 and is a graduate in Islamic Studies from the Islamic university in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
After he graduated he was working in a masjid when a blind man came in and wanted to learn the Quran. Askar could only ask him to repeat what he read as the man could not read the Quran.

Every summer Dar Al Quran wa Sunnah runs a summer camp for blind children where they learn the Quran as well as go on outings . We will be launching our sponsorship drive soon inshaAllah, for 50 children to join the camp this summer.
